In late summer 1930, two bodies were recovered off the coast of the village of Esperanza, Spain. A few months earlier, American singer Pandora Reynolds had ignited the hearts of all the men in the region. Following a bet, she became engaged to Stephen Cameron, a British race car driver. One evening, Pandora noticed a yacht moored in the bay and decided to swim to it. There, she met its owner, Hendrick van der Zee, who was none other than the legendary Flying Dutchman: a man condemned to wander the oceans for eternity until he found a woman willing to die for him.
